Release Notes: The backend code has been switched to Finance::YahooQuote (0.18 or above) as code from beancounter has been consolidated there. A new command 'fxbackpopulate' was added to grab historical currency data from Yahoo!. The example portfolio in setup_beancounter changed into one composed of one stock each from US, CA, FR, and DE. This now backpopulates for prices and currencies and runs p/l and risk reports right out of the box. A patch was applied to use a different Yahoo! source URL for historic prices, correct a one-off error in date / month conversion, and correct documentation.

Release Notes: The new commands 'retracement' (for drawdown calculations such as unrealized losses relative to recent peaks) and 'advancement' (unrealized gains relative to recent lows) were added. Update commands are now run with a maximum batch size of 100 stocks. The 'backpopulate' command is now idempotent. A new 'active' column was added to the stockinfo table so that inactive stocks or funds can be flagged. Some other minor enhancements and UI enhancements were added.

Release Notes: MySQL support has been added. PostgreSQL and MySQL now work all the way up from database creation. The "update" SQL query has been rewritten, so that all known stocks are updated. The "update" command is now idempotent. Expired or delisted stocks are now recognised: unparseable dates, as well as dates that are "too old" are set to N/A, and are neither scrubbed nor databased during the "update" command. The database backend and name can be set as parameters, which facilitates multiple databases and backends to be used in parallel.

Release Notes: This release includes a new 'risk' command to create reports with value-at-risk (VaR) percentile estimates using the standard (parametric) approach as well as a non-parametric quantile estimate, and can also compute marginal value-at-risk. New features include an option to override faulty dates supplied by Yahoo! Finance, an 'allreports' command for creating dayend, status, and risk reports all together, status and risk reports for jobs run by 'dailyjob', and some other small improvements.

Release Notes: New database columns 'owner' and 'type' have been added to differentiate between different accounts and users. SQL restrictions can be imposed from the command-line for fine-grained analysis. Other additions include a 'status' command for overview with returns and the holding period, an 'extrafx' option for additional currencies, and defaults for 'date' and 'prevdate'. The data display layout was changed and more documentation was added.
