Aspose.Cells for Android

Aspose.Cells for Android is a MS Excel spreadsheet component that allows programmer to develop Android applications for reading, writing, and manipulating Excel spreadsheets (XLS, XLSX, XLSM, SpreadsheetML, CSV, tab delimited) and HTML file formats without needing to rely on Microsoft Excel. It supports a robust formula calculation engine, pivot tables, VBA, workbook encryption, named ranges, custom charts, spreadsheet formatting, drawing objects like images, OLE objects, importing or creating charts, auto-filters, and page breaks through the product API, and much more.

    Release Notes: Developers can now choose whether or not to render hidden worksheets. Get/set methods were exposed for the DisplayNullString and NullString properties in the PivotTable. These properties are used to set the display option for the empty cells inside a pivot table to any specified string. Several important issues were fixed in rendering and manipulating charts and converting Microsoft Excel to PDF and HTML formats.

      Release Notes: A setTextDirection method allows the direction of text in shapes including spreadsheet comments to be set. Direction can be set as Left to Right, Right to Left, or to Context. The HtmlLoadOptions class was enhanced to allow the API to interpret any string value starting with the "=" character as a formula. Also enhanced were rendering and manipulating charts, converting Excel to PDF format, and rendering and manipulating PivotTables.

        Release Notes: This release enhances memory optimization settings for existing worksheets by exposing the setMemorySetting method for the Cells class. Now Android developers may use this method to cope with the memory issues for situations where large data sets have to be built in memory. In order to properly utilize this newly introduced feature, memory optimization settings have to be explicitly specified for existing worksheets. It also enhances the CellsException class to identify potentially damaged or corrupted files when loaded with the Workbook constructor.

          Release Notes: This release supports optimized memory usage when working with large Microsoft Excel files and large data sets inside Android Applications. The issue with the require amount of RAM required for the process is also addressed in this release. Developers can get/set time for generating a PDF documents during Excel to PDF conversion, and can show formulas instead of the calculated values in a worksheet. This release enhances Chart to image and sheet to image modules and fixes important issues for Excel files to HTML file format, applying formatting, auto-filtering data in List objects/Tables, and several others.

            Release Notes: This release supports reading password protected MS Excel 2013 files. It provides a method for applying the justify distributed setting while applying text alignment settings on cells. It provides support for the B3 (13.9 x 19.7 inches) and Business Card (90 mm x 55 mm) PaperSizeType options. It improves the chart to image and sheet to image modules. A few other improvements are also made to Aspose.Cells for Androidís formula calculation engine. It fixes a few exceptions when reading and writing Microsoft Excel file formats.
