            custom domain name update?
How can you make update a custom domain name (not FQDN) A record?

For example, I am using "custom" dns services. The domain (ie; is setup up as an "A" record and the host (ie; is setup up as a "CNAME" record pointing to ""

The "update_host" needs to be set to "update_host ="
   complains about a "Malformed Hostname".
