SILVERCODERS DocToText is a powerful utility which can convert documents in many formats to plain text. It includes a console application and C/C++ library, which allows embedding text extraction mechanisms into other applications. It supports MS Office binary formats (MS Word (DOC), MS Excel (XLS, XLSB), MS PowerPoint (PPT), and Rich Text Format (RTF)), OpenDocument formats (text documents (ODT), spreadsheets (ODS), presentations (ODP) and graphics (ODG)), Office Open XML formats (MS Word (DOCX), MS Excel (XLSX), and MS PowerPoint (PPTX)), iWork formats (PAGES, NUMBERS, KEYNOTE), OpenDocument Flat XML formats (FODP, FODS, FODT), Portable Document Format (PDF), Email files (EML), and HyperText Markup Language (HTML). DocToText can extract text not only from the document body but also from annotations (comments) embedded in odt, doc, docx, or rtf files and read metadata like author, last modification date, or number of pages. It can be used as a fast console viewer, and is able to convert corrupted OpenDocument and Office Open XML documents. It can be used to recover text even if other recovery methods failed.

Release Notes: After introducing PDF, iWork, XLSB, OpenDocument Flat XML, and EML (email) this version supports all the important document formats on the market. Support for Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) in ODF formats has been added. Win64 is now officially supported. The capabilities of the C API have been expanded significantly. Many fixes and improvements have been added, including improvements for multithreaded applications.

No download No website 07 Jan 23:18 Wikitty 3.10

Wikitty is a key/value storage and search system. A Java object or a relational table is frozen when writing code or creating a database. To make them evolve, you have to go back into the code, write a migration process, etc. It is also hard to maintain coherent code when you want to develop the same application for similar needs with only small differences. Between the common code and the specific code, it can easily become a real burden. Wikitty tries to answer those problems, bringing a technical solution which is easy to put into place and to use.

Release Notes: This release adds a new select function to get the year of a date. It changes the data upgrade process and adds a new method to WikittyClient and BusinessHelper to remove an extension easily. Wikitty now uses SolR 4.1, and solrconfig.xml has been cleaned up. The select implementation have been changed to do only one solr request. New methods are supported in the query language. WikittyQueryResult has been improved. Wikitty now supports relative dates for String date representation. This version also fixes a bug corrupting the solr index when using multiple instances on the same data file.

Download Website 07 Jan 23:09 mod_asn 1.6

mod_asn is an Apache module that uses BGP routing data to look up the autonomous system (AS) and the network prefix (subnet) which contains a given (client's) IP address. mod_asn is highly scalable. To do lookups in high-speed, it uses the PostgreSQL ip4r datatype, which is indexable with a Patricia Trie algorithm to store network prefixes. This is the most suitable algorithm, being able to search through around 250,000 existing prefixes quickly. mod_asn is usable as a standalone module, and the lookup result can be used by scripts or other Apache modules. For instance, a download redirector could base its decisions on the lookup result provided by mod_asn.

Release Notes: mod_asn is now compatible with the API changes in Apache 2.4. A bug in the asn_get_routeviews script has been fixed (it could fail when the BGP routing data snapshot contained bogus AS numbers). The asn_get_routeviews script now allows downloading routing data only (without processing it), by using the switch --download-only. Also, --no-download can be used if the data is distributed by other means (e.g., with distribution updates).

No download Website 07 Jan 22:11 unifdef 2.10

Unifdef is useful for removing #ifdef'ed lines from a file while otherwise leaving the file alone. You specify which symbols are defined or undefined with -D and -U flags, and unifdef removes the corresponding ifdefs, and the enclosed code if appropriate. It's especially useful for removing those "#ifdef BROKEN" and "#ifdef PRIVATE" clauses from code before you release it. Unifdef acts on #if, #ifdef, #ifndef, #elif, #else, and #endif lines, and it knows only enough about C and C++ to know when one of these is inactive because it is inside a comment or a single or double quote.

Release Notes: This release fixes a bug in the -f option's support for #undef directives and improves portability to Windows.
