Release Notes: This is a major release. Over version 0.3, it introduces support of the GraphicsMagic library (more formats supported), support for rendering "matrix market" numerical matrix files (with librsb), X mode no longer the default in aalib (available as an option), libjpeg/libpng usage improvements, documentation improvements (e.g., the fim man page is auto-generated), "imlib2" X-based output device support, "sdl" output device improvements, hardcoded consolefonts support, support to disable the fim history file, improvements to many commands, and --no-commandline and --no-internal-config switches.

Download Website 23 Mar 23:52 Laptop Mode Tools 1.63

Laptop Mode Tools allows you to control various power management settings based on AC/battery power state. Among other things, it controls Linux's "Laptop Mode" feature that allows your hard drive to spin down for extended periods. It can also control CPU frequency scaling and screen blanking timeouts (both terminal and X). It supports automatic hibernation when battery is low.

Release Notes: This release kicks the power savings back in as soon as the stick is unplugged, releases lock descriptors in the start-stop-programs module, adds an option to disable the alarm level check (this is helpful if you have a broken battery reporting incorrect states), checks for an external helper application's presence (and, if not available, handles it), adds a PCIe ASPM module, and does not ship the board-specific/ folder in default installs.

Download Website 23 Mar 20:13 Config::Model 2.030

Config-Model provides a framework for editing and validating the content of any configuration file or data. With a configuration model (expressed in a data structure), Config-Model provides a user interface and a tool to validate configuration. An optional graphical (Perl/Tk) or curses interface can be used to edit configuration data that will be validated according to the user-provided model. Config-Model includes a model example for fstab and a small fstab demo.

Release Notes: The main change of this release is to provide asynchronous store check. Now, a model can check the validity of a configuration value against a remote resource in a non-blocking way. This is currently used by the Dpkg model to check the validity of package names with the Debian server through several concurrent HTTP requests. The Debian Dpkg model has been moved into a Debian native project.

No download Website 23 Mar 13:15 librsb 1.0.0-rc5

librsb is a library for sparse matrix computations featuring the Recursive Sparse Blocks (RSB) matrix format. This format allows cache-efficient and multithreaded (that is, shared memory parallel) operations on large sparse matrices. The most common operations necessary to iterative solvers are available (matrix-vector multiplication, triangular solution, rows/columns scaling, diagonal extraction/setting, blocks extraction, norm computation, formats conversion). The RSB format is especially well-suited for symmetric and transposed multiplication variants. On these variants, librsb has been found to be faster than Intel MKL's implementation for CSR. Most numerical kernels code is auto-generated, and the supported numerical types can be chosen by the user at buildtime. librsb implements the Sparse BLAS standard, as specified in the BLAS Forum documents.

Release Notes: This is the fifth release candidate for librsb-1.0.0. It fixes minor build/configure issues, solves minor testing bugs, and introduces major fixes to the experimental Fortran ISO C binding interface file (rsb.fi, now almost equivalent to rsb.h). It also updates the Fortran example program regarding the usage of librsb with the ISO C binding interface.

Download Website 23 Mar 09:46 DAPS 1.1.5

The DocBook Authoring and Publishing Suite (DAPS) provides a tool set for easy creation and publication of DocBook sources on Linux. It lets you create HTML (including Webhelp), PDF, EPUB, man pages, and other formats with a single command. It automatically takes care of validating and filtering (profiling) your sources and automatically converts images into a format best suited for the output format. You can easily create profiled source tarballs for translation or review. DAPS supports authors by providing linkchecker, validator, spellchecker, and editor macros. It is well suited to manage large documentation projects with multiple authors using the DAPS docmanager.

Release Notes: This release fixed errors in EPUB generation (wrong paths in content.opf). Two errors in the locdrop target where no proper image tarball was generated and the notrans-tarball had an incorrect path were fixed. A missing conditional requirement (on $IMG_DIRECTORIES) for image building was added. Errors when building dist-{html,htmlsingle,jsp} targets were fixed.
