KEDR is a framework to facilitate dynamic analysis of kernel modules in Linux ("KEDR" is an acronym for "KErnel-mode Drivers in Runtime"). KEDR allows you to intercept the calls that a kernel module makes to the functions exported by other modules and by the kernel proper. The tools provided by the framework can record the arguments and return values of these functions to a trace, perform fault simulation according to user-defined scenarios, and check the kernel modules for memory leaks and some other kinds of problems. Custom data collection and analysis tools for the Linux kernel can also be built on top of KEDR framework.

Release Notes: The most significant enhancement in this version is support for Linux kernel versions 3.7 and 3.8. Several bugs were fixed.

Download Website 26 Feb 12:07 Unicorn 4.6.2

Unicorn is a Unix and LAN/localhost-optimized fork of the Mongrel HTTP server. It takes full advantage of functionality exclusive to Unix-like operating systems. It will reap and restart workers that die from broken apps, and there is no need to manage multiple processes yourself. Load balancing is done entirely by the operating system kernel. Requests never pile up behind a busy worker. The server does not care if your application is thread-safe or not, as workers all run within their own isolated address space and only serve one client at a time. All Rack applications are supported along with pre-Rack versions of Ruby on Rails via a Rack wrapper. It also supports atomic log cycling, nginx-style binary re-execution without losing connections, before_fork and after_fork hooks, and optional copy-on-write-friendly memory management.

Release Notes: This release fixes a bug in Unicorn::HttpParser#filter_body which affected some configurations of Rainbows! There is also a minor size reduction in the DSO.

A deconfiguration prerm script is run and the status is set as expected ("Unpackged"). Several fixes have been made to the libexpr library. This release is made using the libraries available as DLL/.so so one can use them in their software as such instead of using the archives. It fixes handling of many fields in the control file. Download Website 26 Feb 01:58 Zutils 1.0-rc5

Zutils is a collection of utilities able to deal with any combination of compressed and uncompressed files transparently. If any given file, including standard input, is compressed, its decompressed content is used. Compressed files are decompressed on the fly; no temporary files are created. These utilities are not wrapper scripts but safer and more efficient C++ programs. In particular the "--recursive" option is very efficient in those utilities supporting it. The provided utilities are zcat, zcmp, zdiff, zgrep, ztest, and zupdate. The supported formats are bzip2, gzip, lzip, and xz. The compressor to be used for each format is configurable at runtime.

Release Notes: Zgrep now shows file names by default when "--recursive" is selected. A deadlock in zcmp, which happens when the "-n" option was used, has been fixed.
