Seed7 is a general purpose programming language. It is a higher level language compared to Ada, C++, and Java. In Seed7, new statements and operators can be declared easily. Functions with type results and type parameters are more elegant than a template or generics concept. Object orientation is used when it brings advantages and not in places when other solutions are more obvious. Although Seed7 contains several concepts of other programming languages, it is generally not considered as a direct descendant of any other programming language.

Release Notes: The compiler and runtime library have been improved to support big-endian systems. The documentation in src/read_me.txt has been improved. The library tls.s7i has been improved to avoid raising an exception, when the remote side closes the socket. Documentation comments have been added or improved in several source files. Several functions have been optimized. The function typNum has been improved to use a hashtable. The functions typ_num and typ_str have been improved to call typNum respectively typStr. Support for the actions ACT_ICONV and ACT_ORD has been added to the interpreter and compiler.

No download Website 27 Oct 22:41 Lightning MDB 0.9.9

LMDB is an ultra-fast, ultra-compact key-value data store developed by Symas for the OpenLDAP Project. It uses memory-mapped files, so it has the read performance of a pure in-memory database while still offering the persistence of standard disk-based databases, and is only limited to the size of the virtual address space (it is not limited to the size of physical RAM).

Release Notes: Fixes an env_mapsize regression from 0.9.8 and some other minor issues. Adds options to disable internal lock management, for apps that provide their own lock manager, and to control use of Read-Ahead.

No download Website 27 Oct 22:40 S3QL 1.17

S3QL is a file system that stores all its data online. It supports Amazon S3, Google Storage, and OpenStack and effectively provides you with a hard disk of dynamic, infinite capacity that can be accessed from any computer with Internet access. S3QL provides a standard, full featured Unix file system that is conceptually indistinguishable from any local file system. Additional features include compression, encryption, data de-duplication, immutable trees, and snapshotting, which make it especially suitable for online backup and archiving. The design favors simplicity and elegance over performance and feature-creep. Care has been taken to make the source code as readable and serviceable as possible. Solid error detection, error handling, and extensive automated test cases are provided.

Release Notes: Fixes a crash when statvfs() is called on an almost empty filesystem (which may happen automatically when using some desktop environments, resulting in an immediate crash after mounting an empty filesystem). Fixes another race condition that could lead to the (apparent) vanishing of the file system metadata when the mount.s3ql is killed at an unfortunate time.

No download No website 27 Oct 22:40 Event and Task Manager 2.3.3

etm is an acronym for Event and Task Manager. It provides a simple, intuitive format for using plain text files to store event, task, and other data items, a command line interface for viewing stored information in a variety of convenient ways, and a cross-platform, PyQt-based GUI for creating and modifying items as well as viewing them. Displayed items can be grouped by date, context, keyword, or project and can be filtered in various ways. A display of busy and free times is also supported, as is a ledger view of time spent that is suitable for client billing. Alarms are supported for events and repetition for both events and tasks in a powerful and flexible manner.

Release Notes: Changes the name of the executable from etm_qt.py to etm_qt. Fixes a CODEC bug in generating weather reports. Adds a data_files setting to setup.py and MANIFEST.in to facilitate packaging for Debian. Adds padding for job numbers in the GUI so that task groups with more than 9 jobs will sort properly. Removes log, aux, and other unnecessary files. Upgrades the packaging to use setuptools 1.16.

No download Website 27 Oct 22:39 j661 0.6.9

The j661 project provides a generic CDS (or ARINC 661 Server) in order to facilitate the understanding of the ARINC 661 standard, prototype ARINC 661 concepts and architectures, and facilitate the reuse of ARINC 661 specifications and artefacts between projects. The CDS architecture is designed to allow defining the Server behavior to be easily modified or extended. This is achieved by a modular plug-in architecture, allowing customization at runtime without changing anything in the Server core itself.

Release Notes: The additional Plugin Types not correctly handled by the Plugins Manager have been fixed.

Download Website 27 Oct 22:36 Upsilon 0.118.0

Upsilon is a distributed, flexible, and extensible system monitoring application. Being distributed means you run service checks on Upsilon nodes in your network where it makes sense, either on every server or on a management network, inside or outside the firewall. You can run checks on secure, hard to reach networks, and push those results to a central server. You can optionally execute "agentless" checks just by using SSH. Being flexible means that if you can script it, you can monitor it. Unlike most monitoring systems, the monitoring scripts are external to the main server, so you can use Upsilon to execute your monitoring scripts in an extremely robust way. Upsilon has been used to monitor many different things and is API-compatible with all nagios monitoring scripts. Being extensible means you can add monitoring checks to Upsilon at runtime without needing to restart the server. The upsilon-node and upsilon-web projects both have their own REST APIs.

Release Notes: Adds support for named arguments as well as positional in config.xml. First testing release of upsilon-node-config, a TUI tool to make editing config.xml faster. Improvements to the Python based TUI tools, mainly to improve error messages.
