Download Website 04 Jan 22:10 cdcat 2.2

The cdcat is a graphical (Qt based) multi-platform catalog program that scans the directories/drives you want and memorizes the filesystem (including the tags of MP3s) and stores it in a small file. The database is stored in a gzipped XML format, so you can hack it, or use it if necessary. Cdcat can store the contents of some specified files up to a size limit if you want (for example: *.nfo).

Release Notes: This is mainly a bugfix release with some new features. Many crashes and memory leaks have been fixed. Some translations have been updated. Sorting by media type and displaying the current folder on clicking a search result in the find dialog was added. The XML export allows you to select some media instead of forcing all, and import of previously exported XML is now possible.

No download No website 04 Jan 22:04 Nova: Network Anti-Reconnaissance Tool 12.12

Nova is a software application for preventing and detecting hostile network reconnaissance (such as nmap scans). It does this by first creating the Haystack: a large collection of low interaction honeypots using an updated version of Honeyd. Finding real machines on the network becomes like finding a needle in a haystack of fake machines. Second, Nova uses machine learning algorithms to automatically detect and classify attempts at hostile reconnaissance, so there's no need to go searching manually through your honeypot's log files. It provides an easy to use Web-based interface powered by Node.js to configure itself and Honeyd instances.

Release Notes: A significantly streamlined and improved Quasar UI.

Download Website 04 Jan 21:58 ebook2cw 0.8.2

ebook2cw is a command line program that converts a plain text file (like an eBook) to Morse code (CW) MP3 or OGG files. Morse parameters like speed and tone frequency, and audio parameters such as bit rate, sample rate, and quality can be changed by command line switches. It automatically splits and numbers the output files by chapters.

Release Notes: This version adds a few new functions such as splitting output files by length (seconds or number of words) and an option to change the volume of the output sound file on the fly. The generated files of the CGI version can now be delivered in a buffered mode, which enables sending more verbose HTTP headers (Content-Length). Several small errors were fixed, such as the previously corrupted OGG/Vorbis headers in CGI mode, and the code was cleaned up or modularized better.

Nutrient levels are expressed as a percentage of the Daily Value, the familiar standard of food labeling in the United States, but also can be fully customized. Foods can be added from recipes or food labels, and nutrient intake can be graphed. The program is completely menu-driven and there are no commands to learn.

Release Notes: Many practical usability fixes, including better ability to find out what happened after a major failure. A lot of script cleanup, and better command line argument handling and TMPDIR support. Shrinks the ramdisk kernel significantly, using crunchgen, and by removing ancient ISA devices, (this is a workaround for reliability issues on certain i386 systems that exhibit failures with large kernels). Reliably detects errors when saving /var. Saving vnddirs (such as /var) is consistently successful (version 1.1).

Download Website 04 Jan 21:44 Paperkey 1.3

A reasonable way to achieve a long term backup of OpenPGP (GnuPG, PGP, etc) keys is to print them out on paper. Due to metadata and redundancy, OpenPGP secret keys are significantly larger than just the "secret bits". In fact, the secret key contains a complete copy of the public key. Since the public key generally doesn't need to be backed up in this way (most people have many copies of it on various keyservers, Web pages, etc), only extracting the secret parts can be a real advantage. Paperkey extracts just those secret bytes and prints them. To reconstruct, you re-enter those bytes (whether by hand or via OCR), and paperkey can use them to transform your existing public key into a secret key.

Release Notes: This release adds support for OpenPGP elliptic curve keys (ECDH and ECDSA) as specified in RFC 6637. It uses minimal OpenPGP packet encoding. This does not affect functionality, but makes it more likely that a given key will match byte-for-byte the same key after running through paperkey.
