Download Website 08 Sep 16:44 SchemaCrawler 9.0

SchemaCrawler is a Java API which makes working with database metadata as easy as working with ordinary Java objects. It is also a database schema discovery and comprehension and schema documentation tool. You can search for database schema objects using regular expressions, output the schema and data in a readable text format, and find potential design issues with lint . The output is designed to be diff-ed against other database schemas. SchemaCrawler supports almost any database which has a JDBC driver, but for convenience is bundled with drivers for some commonly-used RDBMS systems. SchemaCrawler works with any operating system which supports Java.

Release Notes: The SchemaCrawler API has changed from 8.x versions. All API calls now return collections instead of arrays. Schemas are no longer containers, but tags for database objects. Tables and routines (that is, stored procedures and functions) are available directly on the database, and there are new finders to search by schema. SchemaCrawler now allows queries to be specified on the commandline. The -procedures switch has been renamed -routines. There are shorter and more standard (or Unix-like) synonyms, such as -u (for -user), -c (for -command), and -o (for -output).

Spack is a standalone package manager with its own CPIO-based package format but aiming to keep total compatibility with Slackware Linux. Written in POSIX shell as much as it makes sense, it attempts to provide a fairly complete toolkit to build, install, remove, list, retrieve, and arrange your packages. It can be used as an alternative to Slackware's pkgtools, just to independently and properly manage your local software on any distribution, or as the main package manager of the distribution you build yourself.

Release Notes: This release fixes two little bugs. The first caused spackedit to fail when a package was given with a relative path. The other caused spackfind to not match the absolute paths when "^" was omitted in the beginning of the requests.

The symbolic math library is lightweight and easy to include in other software, due to being written entirely in C with no additional dependencies.
