Download Website 07 Jul 19:38 Long Range ZIP 0.613

LRZIP is a compression program and library that can achieve very high compression ratios and speed when used with large files using unlimited sized compression windows. It uses the combined compression algorithms of zpaq and lzma for maximum compression, lzo for maximum speed, and the long range redundancy reduction of rzip. It is designed to scale with increases with RAM size, improving compression further. A choice of either size or speed optimizations allows for either better compression than even lzma can provide, or better speed than gzip, but with bzip2 sized compression levels. It also has high grade password protected encryption and full STDIN/STDOUT support.

Release Notes: This release fixes a bug which made massive files show an incorrect md5 value on decompression, compression of ultra-small files to corrupt archives, compilation on various platforms, and a crash related to using -S.

Download Website 07 Jul 19:36 yacts 0.4.3

yacts, yet another continuous time simulator, uses J+ to interpret scripts, defining systems of ordinary differential equations, which it solves. J+ is a functional non-imperative simulation language with lazy evaluation, based on the J programming language, a dialect of APL. A program in J+ is a collection of (possibly functional) J assignment statements, just like a set of formulae on a sheet of paper. The interpreter, implemented as a software library, knows the interdependencies between these formulae and is able to compute any of the defined quantities with minimal effort, keeping track of the values which were already computed. The driver program (such as yacts) may ask the interpreter to compute certain quantities and set the values for others (propagating the changes to dependents).

Release Notes: This release adds fixes for memory management, documentation, and portability.

Download Website 07 Jul 10:13 check_ssl_cert 1.0.14

Download No website 07 Jul 09:08 LMF - Linked Media Framework 2.2.1

The Linked Media Framework is an easy-to-set-up server application that bundles central Semantic Web technologies to offer advanced services. The Linked Media Framework consists of LMF Core and LMF Modules. The core component of the Linked Media Framework is a Linked Data Server that allows you to expose data following the Linked Data Principles. The Linked Data Server implemented as part of the LMF goes beyond the Linked Data principles by extending them with Linked Data Updates and by integrating management of metadata and content and making both accessible in a uniform way. Its extensions are described in more detail in LinkedMediaPrinciples. In addition to the Linked Data Server, the LMF Core also offers a highly configurable Semantic Search service and a SPARQL endpoint. Setting up and using the Semantic Search component is described in SemanticSearch. Accessing the SPARQL endpoint is described in SPARQLEndpoint. Whereas the extension of the Linked Data principles is already conceptually well-described, work is proceeding on a proper specification and extension of Semantic Search and SPARQL endpoint for Linked Data servers.

Release Notes: This release provides a complete Linked Data publishing solution by bundling LMF Core, Google Refine, and Apache Stanbol. Other improvements include a SKOS thesaurus editor, performance, SPARQL querying, security and user management, and a Semantic Search UI editor.

Download Website 07 Jul 06:32 zrep 0.8

zrep provides an easy-to-use program to manage zfs filesystem replication and failover. No configuration files are required. The program is developed under Solaris, but may work with any up to date zfs implementation. The executable is a single script. Initialization does a full data copy, but subsequent syncs are incrementals. It uses internal locking to make sure there is no danger of overlap if you just shove it in cron to run every minute. Design target is more "near-time replication", since the sync can be run every minute or more. However, it could conceivably be used for "backup" purposes as well.

Release Notes: The method by which ZFS capabilities are determined was rewritten. Cross-platform robustness was improved. ZFS "volume" replication is now handled without having to hand-edit out the -x option.

Download Website 07 Jul 00:13 phalanx 0.2.68

phalanx computes a digest of many buffers simultaneously, and produces a combined hash of them all. It is an initiative to provide a fast, simple, and portable alternative method to compute a checksum in a parallel fashion. It has options for I/O buffer size, hash width, number of threads, and more. It can be run single-threadedly for performance comparisons. It can check files against previously-saved sums, like "MD5sum" does. It also has a "demo" mode, to ascertain accurate operation. It is intended to be useful on large files and multicore/multiprocessor/multithreaded environments.

Release Notes: This release fixes the ports for SunOS from versions 5.6 up to 11.0. The "check" mode now automatically recognizes the stored hash width and makes the proper adjustments for correct validation. The "-X" flag activates experimental code to enhance the quality of the hash produced (please note that this flag may not be present in future releases).

Download Website 07 Jul 00:12 sawfish 1.9.0

Sawfish (the window manager formerly known as Sawmill) is an extensible window manager using a Lisp-based extension language. All window decorations are configurable and all user-interface policy is controlled through the language. Its aim is to manage windows in the most flexible and attractive manner possible. As such it does not implement desktop backgrounds, application docks, or other things that may be achieved through separate applications. Sawfish is mostly GNOME-compliant; almost all configuration may be made through a graphical interface.

Release Notes: This release fixes various bugs, including cursor warping with shaded windows and EdgeActions which can no longer be triggered multiple times in a row. New EdgeActions have been added (e.g., "HotMove", "Expose"). Many overall improvements have been made in SawfishConfig and EdgeActions. The default theme got a lot more options and an improved look-and-feel. New features include cabinet, tab-group window-matcher, single-window-mode, mouse-trap, and shade-stack. All desktop integration modules have been improved, and razor-qt, mate, and lxde added. Several new theme-independent theme options have been added.

Download Website 06 Jul 22:43 Anywhere Board Games 0.120705

Anywhere Board Games (ABG) allows users to play board and card games on the Web in real time on multiple machines (PC, Linux, iPhone, iPad, and Android). ABG runs as a Google+ Hangout App or as a standalone PHP app. Unlike other gaming environments, this one has a peculiar vision: projecting the main board on our table and using laptops or tablets to control players' hands (with other friends joining in remotely). It supports flipping, stacking, rotating, rolling, and shuffling of pieces, so most board and card games are playable.

Release Notes: This release adds the capability to run Anywhere Board Games in a Google+ Hangout, which can be started from the project's homepage. This allows the general public to use ABG without installing their own Web servers (though the stand-alone PHP application is still maintained). The file release includes the ABG Hangout source code (which is open under LGPL).
