The platform also natively manages the concept of recursive agents (holon or agents composed of agents). It can also run threaded and non-threaded agents without using the organizational and holonic API. It provides features equivalent to those of TinyMAS or MadKit.

    Parallel-NetCDF is a library providing high-performance I/O using MPI-IO and a customized version of the NetCDF API while still maintaining file-format compatibility with Unidata's NetCDF.

    Release Notes: Optimizations were made to reduce communication in the library. Compatibility with NetCDF 4 was improved. Support for CDF-2's special2 characters in names was added along with support for the official CDF-5 file format specification. C and Fortran APIs were enhanced. Improvements were made to the PnetCDF header and variable alignment. A better translation of MPI-IO error classes to netCDF/PnetCDF error codes was provided. Documentation was improved, including more test programs and a QuickTutorial. Fortran90 support was fixed. Other assorted bugs were fixed.
