Download Website 25 Jun 23:20 doclifter 2.8

doclifter helps with lifting documents with nroff markup to XML-DocBook. Lifting documents from presentation level to semantic level is hard, and a really good job requires human polishing. This tool aims to do everything that can be mechanized, and to preserve any troff-level information that might have structural implications in XML comments. TBL tables are translated into DocBook table markup, PIC into SVG, and EQN into MathML (relying on pic2svg and GNU eqn for the last two).

Release Notes: This release fixes a bug in command-synopsis parsing. It now lifts 97% of 11,029 pages in a full Ubuntu Precise Pangolin release.

Download Website 25 Jun 21:56 zrep 0.3.1

zrep provides an easy-to-use program to manage zfs filesystem replication and failover. No configuration files are required. The program is developed under Solaris, but may work with any up to date zfs implementation. The executable is a single script. Initialization does a full data copy, but subsequent syncs are incrementals. It uses internal locking to make sure there is no danger of overlap if you just shove it in cron to run every minute. Design target is more "near-time replication", since the sync can be run every minute or more. However, it could conceivably be used for "backup" purposes as well.

Release Notes: A prior "fix" introduced another bug. This release has a better fix.
