Download Website 02 Oct 22:37 Clement 2.5-148.5

Clement is an email server application. Its main function is to block unwanted mail (spam) as soon as possible in the email exchange process. It accepts or rejects email while the SMTP session, initiated by the email sender, is still pending, accepting legitimate email messages without the need to return an error status to non-existent or "borrowed" return address later. Clement can operate in two modes, either as a standard MTA (as sendmail, Postfix, Exim, Exchange, etc.) to store email in the recipient's own area, or to transmit the mail to an another SMTP server acting as smart spam filtering device. Each email domain name Clement knows about can be treated in one of these two modes depending on the group to which the domain name has been set. Each message is verified by a virus scanner (ClamAV) while the SMTP connection is still open, but the refusal of mail and the reason for refusal is notified to the actual sender. Mail management is done via a Web interface and can be delegated to three administrative levels (Root-Admin, Group-Admin, Domain-Admin). Standard users can access their own logs (sent email status, email rejected, quarantined email, etc.). With this interface, the user can handle the rejection and acceptance of mail. Users who are level "Admin" can access the session logs (via the Web interface). Clement uses a SQL database (PostgreSQL, MySQL) to store and manage logs, user profiles, and dynamic management of directives concerning the sender-receiver relationship.

Release Notes: This release adds a smart relaying improvement: when an IP is within the relayed list, "envelope from:" is checked to verify that the originator is known and still active. If the originator wants to use an external email reference (Hotmail, Gmail, etc.), this external email address must be found within a "multi-path" list and linked to an active known user. This is to avoid relay spam when the end user workstation is compromised and an unrelated "envelope from:" is used by the bots. Various small bugfixes and log improvements have been added.

No download No website 02 Oct 22:29 spdylay 0.3.6

spdylay is an experimental implementation of Google's SPDY protocol in C. It provides a SPDY framing layer implementation. It does not perform any I/O operations. When the library needs them, it calls the callback functions provided by the application. It also does not include any event polling mechanism, so the application can freely choose the way of handling events. This library code does not depend on any particular SSL library (except for example programs that depend on OpenSSL 1.0.1 or later).

Release Notes: This release fixes bugs in configure command-line options and spdycat. Client side header block compression was disabled. on_ctrl_not_send_callback now returns SPDYLAY_ERR_FRAME_TOO_LARGE as an error code when a packed frame is too large to fit in the SPDY frame size limit. Shrpx SPDY proxy mode now announces SPDY/3 as the default protocol.

Download No website 02 Oct 22:03 Reformator 2.0

Previously, fiction books published on the Web were often divided into lines of ~80 characters for comfortable reading. This can be a problem on small displays (such as phones), causing poorly-wrapped formatting. Reformator is a simple Qt utility that attempts to remove newlines inside paragraphs without removing those between paragraphs. Just set the size of the first line indent, and Reformator will recognize real paragraphs and remove all non-useful newlines. It can also detect indent size automatically. It is recommended to back up your books before reformatting.

Release Notes: Initial freecode announcement.

No download No website 02 Oct 21:57 JunkieTheSniffer 2.3.0

Junkie is a real-time packet sniffer and analyzer. It is modular enough to accomplish many different tasks. It can be a helpful companion to the modern network administrator and analyst. Compared to previously available tools, junkie lies in between tcpdump and wireshark. Unlike tcpdump, its purpose is to parse protocols of any depth; unlike wireshark, though, it is designed to analyze traffic in real-time and so cannot parse traffic as exhaustively as wireshark does. In addition, its design encompasses extendability and speed. It has a plug-in system and high-level extension language that eases the development and combination of new functionalities; threaded packet capture and analysis for handling of high bandwidth networks; and a modular architecture to ease the addition of any protocol layer. It is based on libpcap for portability, and well-tested on professional settings.

Release Notes: Two new plugins: one to display packet size distribution and another to display duplicates time distribution. Autodiscovery of some protocols (HTTP, SIP, MGCP, FTP, etc.). You can now limit the amount of RAM used by the parsers. With regard to the netmatch language: a subnet type and addition of TCP relative sequence numbers.

Download Website 02 Oct 21:56 finit 1.4

Finit is a small SysV init replacement with process supervision similar to that of daemontools and runit. Its focus is on small and embedded GNU/Linux systems, although it is fully functional on standard server and desktop installations. Finit is fast because it starts services in parallel; it then supervises and automatically restarts them if they fail. This can be extended upon with custom callbacks for all services, hooks into the boot process, or plugins to extend the functionality and adapt Finit to your needs. Finit is not only fast, it’s arguably one of the easiest to get started with. A complete system can be booted with one simple configuration file.

Release Notes: This release fixes the plugin loader. It uses the RTLD_GLOBAL flag to tell the dynamic loader to load dependent .so files as well. It fixes the I/O plugin watcher and load plugins earlier for a new hook. The process of refactoring helpers.c into a libite.so (-lite) has begun. This means other user space applications/daemons can make use of the toolbox available in finit. Uses short-form (-s/-w -u) to work with BusyBox hwclock as well. Greatly simplifies the svc hook for external plugins and cleans up the plugin API. Heavily tested on Debian 6.0 (IA32) and in an embedded setting (ARM v5 little-endian).

Download Website 02 Oct 21:54 Clonezilla live-testing 2.0.0-25

Clonezilla is a partition or disk cloning tool similar to Symantec Ghost. It saves and restores only blocks in use on the hard drive if the file system is supported. For unsupported file systems, dd is used instead. It has been used to clone a 5 GB system to 40 clients in about 10 minutes.

Release Notes: This is a bugfix version. The underlying GNU/Linux operating system was upgraded. This release is based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 2012/Oct/2). To avoid the KMS and vmwgfx conflict issue, some blacklist boot parameters were added. The VOL_LIMIT for splitting image files could not be larger than 20000000000000. Some directories should not be in the root directory after booting into Clonezilla live. The install_grub_hd in ocs-live-dev should skip checking the boot loader on the USB flash drive, because it might be a new, empty one.

Download No website 02 Oct 21:53 cardme

cardme is a Java library implementation of RFC 2426, VCard. It provides Java applications with a way to read and write from and to the VCard file format. The project's goals are to provide a flexible and easy to use library with excellent documentation.

Release Notes: This is a small point release that fixes a locale bug in the GEO type.

Download No website 02 Oct 21:53 Pcompress 0.8.6

Pcompress is an archiver that can do compression/decompression and deduplication in parallel by splitting input data into chunks. It has a modular structure and includes support for multiple algorithms like LZMA, Bzip2, PPMD, LZ4, etc., with KECCAK/BLAKE2/SHA-256/512 chunk checksums. SSE optimizations for the bundled LZMA are included. It also implements chunk-level Content-Aware Deduplication and Delta Compression features based on a Polynomial Fingerprinting scheme. It has low metadata overhead and overlaps I/O and compression to achieve maximum parallelism. It has AES encryption capability and uses Scrypt from Tarsnap to generate per-session unique keys from passwords. It can work in pipe mode, reading from stdin and writing to stdout. It also provides some adaptive compression modes in which a suitable algorithm is chosen per chunk based on heuristics.

Release Notes: This is a small update release that adds a few fixes and moves to a multiplicative rolling hash as its biggest change. This change improves the hash distribution and generates better dedupe block boundaries for different types of data. This in turn improves dedupe ratio.
