Source-highlight-qt is a library for performing syntax highlighting in Qt documents by relying on the GNU Source-Highlight library. It provides an implementation of the Qt abstract class QSyntaxHighlighter class, and it deals both with Qt3 and Qt4, although you will need to build a separate version of the library for the two different Qt framework versions. The Qt3 version has fewer features and it is there only for old Qt applications. Furthermore, the QSyntaxHighlighter class in Qt3 has some design problems which make it quite inefficient to use.

Download Website 24 Dec 08:23 Scache 0.90.7

Scache is a different approach for PHP session data management. It provides a generic key-value data cache to use for transient session data storage. Scache also provides a shared keyspace, shared counters, and simple cache features. Scache's difference to other implementations is a tree-structured keyspace where one can easily operate only on required parts of stored session data and also invalidate groups of stored data by expiring whole subtrees. Despite its name, scache is not a cache. Scache stores all session data inserted until data is deliberately destroyed and so reduces the need to redundantly store the same data somewhere else. Scache consists of a daemon and a PHP extension.

Release Notes: An object oriented class interface was added to the PHP extension. There were minor bugfixes, documentation updates, and build process improvements.

Download Website 24 Dec 03:34 rho 1.1.10

Rho is a small, very powerful console-based POSIX text editor and mini-IDE with Bash/Emacs key bindings. A configuration file allows the user to create macros using not only any internal function but anything available to a shell command. Keyboard macros (Ctl-Alt-A through Z) can be sourced into the editor for each kind of task, the next sourcing overwriting the last. Rho also allows an unlimited number of templates (sh, awk, python, etc.) to be injected into executable buffers which trap stdout and stderr.

Release Notes: Buffer.purge_sbuffers was added to purge all sourced buffers. Sourcing a file of macros and key bindings now frees all prior sourced macros and clears the key bindings. Bind.unbind_key was fixed so that it properly determined whether a key was in use. This fixed certain bind_to_key calls. Bind.new_binding was also fixed, even though it worked fine in what should have been a broken state. Bind.clear_sbinding was added in order to clear the key bindings of unsourced buffers.

Xtract attempts to demonstrate how Wireshark's powerful network traffic analysis capabilities can be combined with the file carving capabilities of programs such as Foremost and NetworkMiner in a manner that is portable and extensible (hence the choice of Perl). Specifically, it offers automated extraction of network stream sessions; visualization of networks via GraphViz; and integration of file carving capability. The scripts are intended as a proof-of-concept for how tedious tasks of reassembling TCP/UDP streams from network capture files and file carving based on these streams can be automated.

Release Notes: Protocol name hashing has been moved to the configuration file xtract.conf. Various issues concerning link diagram generation have been resolved. A basic carver for exe files has been added, but has not been rigorously stress tested, so the authors would appreciate any feedback on it.
