Download Website 21 Dec 22:50 Palabos 1.1

The Palabos library offers a framework in C++ for fluid flow simulations with the lattice Boltzmann (LB) method. Originally conceived as a research tool for lattice Boltzmann models, the code has evolved into a general-purpose program for computational fluid dynamics. The programming interface is straightforward and offers an access to the rich world of lattice Boltzmann, even to an audience with restricted theoretical knowledge of this method. A special emphasis is put on high performance and parallel computing.

Release Notes: This release contains two bugfixes. A compilation error in the Python interface has been removed. The Code::Blocks project for trans-platform compilation has been adapted to the 1.0 release.

No download Website 21 Dec 22:47 ProGuard 4.7

ProGuard is a shrinker, optimizer, obfuscator, and preverifier for Java bytecode. It detects and removes unused classes, fields, methods, and attributes. It optimizes methods and removes dead code. It renames the remaining classes, fields, and methods using short, meaningless names. Finally, it preverifies the processed code for Java 6 or higher, or for Java Micro Edition. The resulting code is more compact, more efficient, and more difficult to reverse-engineer. Advantages of ProGuard compared to other Java shrinkers and obfuscators are compact template-based configuration, memory efficiency, and speed. It is mostly popular for embedded development and for commercial development, and is integrated in Oracle's Wireless Toolkit, in Intel's TXE SDK, and in Google's Android SDK.

Release Notes: This release adds support for processing Java 7 code. It shrinks class files slightly better. It fixes a number of issues in the optimization and obfuscation steps and in the GUI. For Android developers, it works around a problem with spaces in path names in the Android SDK.

Efax-gtk provides a GUI frontend for the efax fax program. It interfaces with efax directly, replacing the scripts supplied with efax, and can be used for receiving and sending faxes, and for viewing, printing, and managing faxes which have been received and sent. It also has a socket interface that provides a "virtual printer" for sending faxes from word processors and similar programs, and can automatically e-mail a received fax to a designated user and automatically print a received fax.

Release Notes: There is now a hard dependency on the c++-gtk-utils library. The build system has been revised. Some minor bugs have been fixed.

Download No website 21 Dec 22:45 XorCurses 0.2.1

XorCurses is a game based entirely on Xor by Astral Software. The original game was released around 1987 for the 8-bit home computers popular at the time. XorCurses attempts to faithfully recreate that game for Linux, but slightly ironically, uses ASCII characters instead of pixel based graphics (which even the 8-bit computers could manage). The idea of Xor is to roam around a series of mazes collecting masks. The first level is simply a matter of finding your way around, but the second level introduces fish and chickens which block your path or kill you if they hit you. From there on in, things get progressively tougher and really is a challenging and difficult puzzle game.

Release Notes: This release fixes two bugs caused by a minor difference in the way the player positions are stored. These bugs manifested in the teleport, and the game window display. Additionally, serious bugs with the game view after terminal resizing have been fixed.

Download Website 21 Dec 22:41 Mini-XML 2.7

Mini-XML is a small XML parsing library that you can use to read XML and XML-like data files in your application without requiring large non-standard libraries. It only requires an ANSI C compatible compiler (GCC works, as do most vendors' ANSI C compilers) and a "make" program. It supports reading of UTF-8 and UTF-16 and writing of UTF-8 encoded XML strings and files, and provides a hierarchical view of the file via a linked-list tree structure of typed nodes and functions for managing, traversing, indexing, and searching the tree.

Release Notes: This release fixes some memory leaks, adds accessory functions, and adds 64-bit configurations to the Visual C++ project files.

No download Website 21 Dec 22:40 Sukiyaki 1.1

Sukiyaki was born out of what the author sees as a much needed improvement to current imageboard/BBS software. They're flaky, often have security flaws that users take advantage of, and worst of all, they have the same UI from the mid-nineties. It's time for an update! Sukiyaki visually organizes replies in threads so that it is clear who the reply is sent to. It is written using Django with its wonderful ORM, which helps reduce security vulnerabilities. It has been tested in production and is stable. It also includes a unique system for user-ranking of posts. Planned features include RSS updates for individual boards and threads, and there is a faster backend (Django-Treebeard).

Release Notes: This version includes image-banning, a new concept. There are other UI and code-tweaks.

Download Website 21 Dec 22:31 Vocab Builder 0.9.28

Vocab Builder is a collection of two separate programs. The client is the testing application that uses a drill-style method of building your vocabulary in a foreign language, similar to using flash-cards. The editor allows you to create a new, or modify an existing, database for your own personal use. Since the design of the project allows a user to create their own databases/tests, they can not only focus on the words they want/need to learn, but also are not restricted by availability of choice. No more are you restricted by only the databases available to you. Many language teaching applications only allow you to learn the languages they've supplied you. Most North American-based programs cater to English speaking users and only give you a selection of other languages to choose from. Not only can Vocab Builder use any language combination of Native and Secondary languages but it's also open-ended. You can share your tests with others. You can expand the database of words in any direction you want. Word lists are meant to be broken down into categories like colors, sizes, numbers, etc.

Release Notes: This is mainly a bugfix release. It is intended to be a release candidate for the pending 1.0 release. It fixes a bug introduced in 0.9.26 where the client wouldn't show more than a single word before stopping the test. This release also fixes a long outstanding bug where incorrectly guessed words were repeated immediately when 'repeat incorrect' was enabled. Many other minor issues were fixed as well.

All of the modules use a debug trace framework for diagnostic output that is easily used and extended for application code as well.

Release Notes: Paranoid::Network::Socket is the major addition for this release. It is designed to simplify supporting IPv6 in Perl applications, automatically bringing in related functions if available, whether provided by Perl's Socket or CPAN Socket6 modules. This release also provides a simple boolean function which denotes whether full IPv6 support is available on the system. This allows you to code IPv4/IPv6 code branches without having to do all the Socket version tests yourself. Improvements were also made to Paranoid::Network and Paranoid::Module.

Download Website 21 Dec 02:27 System Configuration Collector 1.17.23

System Configuration Collector collects and classifies most of your Unix/Linux/BSD configuration data in flat files called snapshots. This allows changes in snapshots of consecutive runs to be detected. These changes are added to a logbook, which is helpful for administrators during troubleshooting and for auditors during audits. Snapshots and logbooks are also available in HTML format. All data can be send to an SCC server, where a Web interface provides access to summaries and supports comparing snapshots of different servers and searching of all data. A WMI-based Windows client is also available.

Release Notes: Many corrections and enhancements have been implemented in the collector modules. The produced HTML has been checked against Total Validator and has been corrected. The version schema of the rpm and deb packages has been changed to correctly use the release part of the version. The rpm spec file has been changed to accommodate rpmlint, and a specific Fedora spec file has been added. Long option names have been implemented for additional clarity. Scientific Linux, Boston University Linux, ConnochaetOS, and Paldo are now recognized. Several modifications had to be made to run SCC on LPS.

The version schema of the rpm and deb packages has been changed to correctly use the release part of the version. The detection of a restart of the client collection has been corrected. The manual pages of the new scc and scc-win releases have been added.
