Download Website 29 Nov 11:20 Scache 0.90.6

Scache is a different approach for PHP session data management. It provides a generic key-value data cache to use for transient session data storage. Scache also provides a shared keyspace, shared counters, and simple cache features. Scache's difference to other implementations is a tree-structured keyspace where one can easily operate only on required parts of stored session data and also invalidate groups of stored data by expiring whole subtrees. Despite its name, scache is not a cache. Scache stores all session data inserted until data is deliberately destroyed and so reduces the need to redundantly store the same data somewhere else. Scache consists of a daemon and a PHP extension.

Release Notes: Support for listing keys on the scached backend.

No download No website 28 Nov 23:32 SlicedBread 0.0.2

SlicedBread is a library that makes it simpler to program multithreaded applications in Java. It does so by doing away with "classic" multithreaded staples - that is, shared state using thread-safe objects - in favor of a set of single-threaded processes that send and receive immutable messages. In a sense it is inspired by Erlang's messaging system. In another, the over 400 rich pages of "Java concurrency in practice" show how hard it is to write and debug a good-mannered multithreaded application in Java.

Release Notes: This release includes the first version of the documentation, which should be enough to get you started with the library. It adds thread pools (multiple threads reading from the same mailbox) and checks thread safety under JMM (JSR-133).
