OpenSimulator is a multi-platform, multi-user 3D distributed virtual environment platform. Out of the box, it can be used to simulate virtual environments similar to that of Second Life. These can be used as social virtual worlds or for specific applications such as education, training, and visualization. Access is via the regular Second Life open-source viewer or via third-party clients. There are a number of private and public deployments of OpenSimulator, including OSgrid, which has over 8000 regions hosted by independent individuals and organizations spread over the Internet.

The system should be compatible with the meteorological standards BUFR and GRIB (version 1 and 2). In addition to generic loading programs, WDB also features a flexible retrieval interface for retrieving weather data in time series or entire fields. WDB is built using PostgreSQL extended with PostGIS.

Release Notes: This release fixes bugs in the WDB projection library and in the nearest interpolation algorithm. It adds some new ocean data CF parameters to the metadata.

MyMediaLite is a lightweight, multi-purpose library of recommender system algorithms. It addresses the two most common scenarios in collaborative filtering: rating prediction (e.g. on a scale of 1 to 5 stars), and item prediction from implicit feedback (e.g. from clicks or purchase actions). It contains dozens of recommender engines, including state-of-the-art matrix factorization methods. It also supports real-time updates to the recommender engines, storing engines to disk and reloading them again, and several evaluation measures to compare the accuracy of different recommender system methods. Three command-line programs that offer most of the functionality contained in the library are included.

Release Notes: MyMediaLite now needs Mono 2.8 or later (2.10.x is recommended, or .NET 4.0). Multi-core support has been added for several components: item recommendation evaluation, cross-validation for rating prediction and item recommendation, and distributed SGD training for rating prediction matrix factorization. Long int user and item IDs are now supported. Different modes for selecting candidate items now also work for cross-validation. Mean reciprocal rank (MRR) has been added as a new evaluation measure.
